The story of a project born from passion for networking and education
PacketTrainer was created with a simple goal: make learning Cisco commands accessible to everyone, for free.
Too many students fail practical exams not because they lack understanding, but because they haven't practiced CLI commands enough. PacketTrainer fills this gap by offering a training environment available 24/7, with no installation required.
While preparing for the ITNv7 exam myself, I noticed there was no simple tool to practice CLI commands without launching Packet Tracer every time.
So I created PacketTrainer: a lightweight web application that lets you practice essential commands, track your progress, and effectively prepare for practical assessments.
No hidden fees, no subscription. Education should be accessible.
Your data stays on your device. No tracking.
Progressive exercises designed for lasting learning.
Clean interface, no distractions. Focus on what matters.
PacketTrainer is a lightweight and performant web application:
No heavy framework, no external dependencies. The app works offline once loaded.
